Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Brunei Darussalam
Tran Anh Vu assessed that this is an appropriate time for Vietnam to promote
Halal cooperation with the Brunei market and BIMP-EAGA

The Halal industry is an industry that provides products and services that meet Muslim standards, including food, beverages and seafood,... These are areas that Binh Phuoc can cooperate with Brunei as well as other countries in the growth quadrangle in the coming time.
The Halal industry is currently growing extremely strongly and is a relatively open and easy-going market because there are not too many technical or tariff barriers. People in Muslim countries are willing to pay a high cost to buy Halal products and services. In particular, the growth quadrangle of Brunei - Indonesia - Malaysia - Philippines, also known as BIMP - EAGA, is a potential export market. However, it can be seen that Vietnamese enterprises, especially Binh Phuoc enterprises, do not have much information about this market.
At the conference, the delegates have learned more about the potential and growth of the Halal industry as well as information about this industry including rules, regulations, partners, business model, Halal certification process, culture, Muslim customs, etc. Brunei's large enterprises and corporations also introduced some additional information, products of the business and fields in which Vietnamese enterprises can cooperate. In addition, the Vietnamese Embassy to Brunei Darussalam
pledges to support Vietnamese enterprises in connecting with Brunei enterprises and the BIMP - EAGA sub-region.

In the coming time, we encourage Vietnamese provinces and enterprises to increase participation in Halal exhibitions, events, seminars and other activities related to Halal in the BIMP - EAGA region. We recommend that Vietnamese regulatory agencies consider the possibility of organizing Halal exhibitions or trade fairs in Vietnam or in regional markets to support provinces and enterprises in their marketing and connecting.
